Elizabeth Monotgomery's vintage 1970's Avon Victorian California Perfume MIB

This wonderful vintage perfume bottle is still in its original box and still contains most of its original perfume. If you've always wondered which perfumes were the favorite of Elizabeth Montgomery, the star of America's first Paranormal sitcom Bewitched, now's your chance with this item.
Elizabeth collected miniature perfume bottles and used some of them on Bewitched along with the mirrored tray shown in our pics, here. This auction is only for the
California Perfume
bottle and box by AVON, the other's will be sold separately.
As you can see in our pics, the bottle has a unique Victorian design, as well as its cardboard box. The lid has the look of "Gold" though it is made of a hard plastic.
According to Elizabeth who was interviewed by the author of a brand new book currently being written about movie stars and the clothing, props and ephemera they collected called
"Collectibles of the Stars"
the bottle was a gift to her by friend and co-star of Bewitched Dick Sergent, the actor who portrayed the 2nd Darrin on the show. "Dick never forgot my
birthday and always had gifts for me, long after Bewitched finished shooting for our last season. During lunch with other co-stars of our long running show, he gave me this lovely Victorian looking perfume bottle that had a victorian look to it. I was in a Victorian phase those years and loved everything authenticly Victorian. I opened the bottle and loved the aroma which I put on immediately, its been one of my favorite scents by Avon ever since.

After her death in 1995, this bottle alppng with her collection was sold at the yard sale held by her family at her Beverly Hills estate. There it sold to our client, who was a neighbor and also worked with Elizabeth on Bewitched. She collects props from movies and TV shows and this bottle has been part of her prestigious collection all these years before she hired us to sell pieces of her collection on her behalf.
The bottle is in fine condition and retains its paper labels and looks brand new. The perfume bottle has been opened, but 90% of the original scent remains inside. The exterior of the box is somewhat worn from age and use with some rubs on the edges as shown in our photos. The back of the box tells the California perfume company story dating back to 1886. This bottle and its box has more than Bewitched and Hollywood history attatched to it.
The current owner has allowed the author of the books currently being written to showcase this and other pieces previously owned by Elizabeth Montgomery and many other stars whose things she's collected over the last sixty+ years in his new book:
