Features:
This design fits the Classic style HP calculators. There is a white cardboard cover that allows for posting when the battery should be checked or discarded (about 3 years). The case is nicely sealed to reduce the chance of corrosion. I've been making battery packs since 2001 and I feel this style is my best effort to date. I've sold dozens of them with strong positive feedback
This auction battery pack replaces the original HP battery pack serial numbers 82001A and 82001B. This battery pack includes AAA alkaline batteries. The case fits perfectly into all the above listed HP calculators.
Same connector geometry as the original battery packs.

ou do not need an HP adapter charger anymore. Very nice, just swap out with a new set of AAA batteries.
The AAA batteries last with the "all-8s" display for about 8 hours. I have used this battery pack with my HP-67 and it works great. Generally AAA alkaline cells are rated around 1000 maH. The original AA rechargeable Classic HP battery was rated at 450 maH.
I've had several emails asking if the voltages of alkaline cells at 1.5 volts may be too high compared to the 1.2 volts generally peaking for rechargeable battery cells. Several years ago the HP Calculator Museum forum group discussed this issue. They concluded that alkaline voltages are not harmful to the internal HP Classic series calculators. Charging voltages peak to 5 volts (within the adapters) and so the AAA alkaline batteries will not harm the internal circuitry. Just so you know, I have used them for a few years on my collection of HP-35, 45, 55, 65, 67, and 80 calculators with no issues at all. The AAA cells work very well.
Battery Storage:
Please protect your beautiful HP calculator! All battery cells will eventually leak a corrosive acid that may harm your calculator. If your not using the calculator for a long time, please consider removing the battery from the calculator. These devices are just too awesome to risk potential corrosion damage.
