1970 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

This just may be the most original unrestored Daytona Yellow L46 optioned 1970 Corvette Stingray convertibles left on Earth.  The paint is almost 100% original (a couple of small touch-ups) and shows very very well.  There's a little lacquer checking on the deck area around the fuel fill door and a little on the  tops of the fenders and a few chips and imperfections around the car, but overall for original, the body and paint are excellent.  Other than surface rust, the frame and birdcage are excellent.  The rear kick ups are solid and the front bolt in crossmember is almost rust free.  The original spare tire tub doesn't even have a scratch on it and holds the original spare.   The front grills are still the original and impossible to find 1970 style without the exposed screw heads.  The weather strip is all original and still in very good condition.  The soft top is also the original.  It's had some repairs (stitching) and takes some effort to put up and down.  I also have the original instruction tag the original owner removed when the car was new.
This has been a pleasure car it's whole life.  I first owned this car back in 1999.  At that time I purchased it from the second owner who purchased it in 1975.  I have the original sales documents, protecto plate, records and receipts back to day one.  For the last 16 years the car has been in Florida and Arizona.
Under the hood is almost 100% original.  There's some hose clamps that are not and the main AC lines have been replaced.  The hoses, belts and filters have also been replaced.  It starts easy and runs like a 350 horse car should.  It does smoke a little on start up but goes away before the choke turns off.
The interior appears to be 100% original.  The seat covers are in good shape but the foams are badly deteriorated and need replaced.  Smack the seat cushion and you get the yellow foam dust through the comfort weave.
